Sonoma County had a goodly amount of rain in the past three or four weeks. As it tends to do, the Laguna de Santa Rosa floods after all the wetness from the sky. The water level stays high for a week or two and makes for some awesome scenery on an early morning bike ride. I can't resist sharing these photos from shortly before (and then at) dawn yesterday.

ReplyDeleteReminds me of Mirror Lake, at Yosemite. Even the students thought it was worth the three mile walk. Of course, then I made them write in their journals, being the spoilsport that I am, and they took it all back.
